Maybe not pursuing graphical fidelity in games is one of the best choice afterall.

I bought this game way after the pandemic so I didn’t have that experience and I just felt like the whole point of it was to customize stuff… I felt like there wasn’t a direction for me to do in at all and that’s not what I was expecting from animal crossing.

every time im tempted to get a ps5 to play ps4 games i missed, they just get ported to pc. with the exception of bloodborne and shadow of the colossus

All I have to say is that the other "options" are responsible for the hellish scape that is modern gaming. Dlc, battlepass, paid online, third party support, non playable games inside the disk, etc... All of these and more spread like a cancer and now we have to wait atleast a month before buying anything to make sure it isnt smokes and mirrors. Pc on the other had is the king but thats just my opinion.

The problem with xbox and Playstation is dei and esg. People are tired of big corporations trying to force propaganda and messages on them. Meanwhile nintendo is still nintendo.

Although i don't like Nintendo as a company (hate them for always making it hard to emulate games they don't want to port to newer ports and having really bad ways of trying to always milk money from fans) i still think what they are doing is what makes them afloat they know what they are doing, they make good games and how to make a fun game. And i like their creative side and what they are doing. They do need better competition because sony and xbox are barely a thing to them. They are like a monopoly but to only their thing and i know steam deck is basically their only competition in handheld but that is not really competition valve is just doing handheld but for pcs and not consoles. Nintendo just needs actual competition and not some lousy companies that barely make everyone excited. Like why get a 500$ console like ps5 when you just need 200$ more to get like a decent gaming laptop to play all the games on the ps5 since they release all their games on pc after by a bit and to be better than ps5. Or you could just get a steam deck for like 300$ since they are getting cheap. What Nintendo has that other consoles don't is their tech and not in power but in fun. Like they do casual really well and they have games that can't be in any other consoles like motion games that makes you move around. They know how to make good games with unique tech

I actually say that Nintendo simply stopped fighting after the GameCube. At that point, they already defeated their long last rival, and the battle to come wasn't even about games anymore. They just sat in their "Fun First" throne, while watching the other two go at each other's throats. You can say that Nindendo didn't win, it was the other two that succeeded in bleeding each other out.

Compare the online PVP shooter Splatoon 2 and 3 to other PVP shooters. Splatoon has no Battle pass, no overpriced skins, no MTX, The only thing you pay extra for is an expansion pass 2 gave you a new story mode and a playable Octoling, 3 got you a Roguelite story mode two lobbies from the 2 past Splatoon games. Compare that to Overwatch.

Gonna bring hell on earth, even thou the games are the best gaming has to offer. The switch is not worth it to pkay those games if the idea to juice them up to the limit, thats one of the reasons why switch emulators came like, 5 months after the console's release. Also nintendo does DMCA's and lawsuits to fan projects better that consoles. Lastly, you cant justify me that a 7 year old switch game should cost 60€/$, without a chance of a discount. Or a bare-bone remaster for 60€/$.

5:11 i dont think that's true. I dont believe GameCube launched with any included game bundles. And Melee wasnt even a launch title. I believe what you're thinking about were promotional bundles that came to retail later just like how Switch got Mario Kart 8 bundles later on in its lifespan.

While I did own the original xbox when it was "relevant", I was too young to even care about the M-rated content. While I have an otherwise similar background to this youtuber, I also can tell that Xbox was starting to lose the edge it had back in the 360 era with the xbox one, and while I did own the One S, I didn't last long with them and swapped that for a PS4 slim and felt already more at home (I also was owning a Switch and my game library kept increasing over time). When I got the PS5, I used it more than I would have ever thought so since I only owned potato PCs and starting from scratch and spend 3K on a PC was less appealing than the PS5's price point (I bought mine end of March last year, during the console's 2nd inventory wave). I can tell that, despite owning a few solid games like the anniversary edition of Skyrim, Diablo2Rez, Ratchet & clank rift apart, and FF16 (not to mention some PSVR2 games later down the line), I can feel that it's not exactly going as well with them as with Nintendo. Heck, I can't even compare my Nintendo Library with Sony's combined PS4 & 5 library I have acquired (and that's even excluding the NSO retro titles)

Personally I don't even count the Switch as part of the 9th gen because it's a handheld with the ability to act like a home console and came out 3 years before the 9th gen consoles, giving it a massive advantage in time. I don't really see it as much of a console war win. It's just Nintendo doing their own thing

I have always been a nintendo kid, tho i was curious about the other two, (specifically ps3 owned by my uncle and xbox one owned by one of my cousins), but the reason i love nintendo (besides thier iconic ip's) is the idea of "experimentation" they see something interesting, they try to make it work!! 🌟

The Wii and then the Nintendo DS, no one has ever been able to touch Nintendo. I just hope PlayStation and Xbox learn from this and continue forward. The console wars are good for everyone

Okay, I just want to point out that Nintendo didn’t shift gears from caring about having the best graphics during the GameCube era or 64 era. They were still very much about console power. The Nintendo 64 was even named after its bit count for crying out loud. The GameCube was more powerful than the ps2 which is why a lot of its best looking games look notably better than anything on ps2. The only bottleneck was that they used tiny CDs in an attempt to combat piracy but this meant that the data size for a GameCube game had to be much smaller. This is why some multiplats (mostly the larger scope games like open world RPGs) ended up looking worse on GameCube, as they had to scale back texture detail to free up space, inspite of the console itself being stronger.

I’ve always loved Nintendo, it’s the company i kept coming back to and I feel with the Wii and the particularly the Switch, Nintendo well and truly nailed it and I won’t be buying anything else but a Nintendo console going forward. There is a reason why i only have a Switch and almost got a PS5 but didn’t.

I never beat TTYD as a kid I got to gloomtail and no further, and I thought for sure the 3rd dragon was the final boss.

Lol what in the name of Nintendo Fanboy videos is this???? bro, the Switch is in the generation of the PS5/Series X, remember it got a head start and quickly cut the Wii U's life early after only 5 years, a full generation. And this generation is still ongoing. and the Switch is a full on handheld, Nintendo QUICKLY dropped the ''hybrid'' concept very early on because it didn't meet the actual requirements for a hybrid device. The original leaked patent/concept for the switch would've, and that was when it wanted to have the dock provide an additional boost in power whenever it was docked, with the actual dock being somewhat of a eGPU, as it would've added power and provided additional functionality. but they dropped that obviously lol.... What we have now is literally a handheld in all of definition, it is able to output to TV through a port, and connects via wireless bluetooth to a controller, all things other handhelds like your smartphone/tablets/etc do. So it can be said they won the handheld wars, easily, even though there are no competitors lol... but as far as the console wars, it's unfair to even compare because they are not even in the same class to even compete, with this logic you could easily say Apple won the "console" wars with how it has the exact same functionalities as the switch, and has a huge library of games and even it's exclusive Apple Arcade too LOL

I remember when switch came out I bought all the games because there was barley any ending up playing some cool ones like binding of Isaac that I probably never would have touched otherwise. Now it seems I have a never ending list of games to play and about 100 already.
